Job summary
We are seeking to appoint an ambitious, highly motivated, and enthusiastic senior technical information analyst with strong technical data skills and knowledge of information analysis/financial data, commissioning data flows, NHS data contract requirements, the NHS data dictionary, and Secondary Uses Service (SUS).
The successful candidate will be joining the Digital Information & Solutions CSU, supporting the Commissioning Information team, contributing to reporting deadlines and the processing of commissioning data.
To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate a proven track record in meeting strict deadlines, strong communication skills, as well as good technical skills.
This role involves interaction with a wide range of stakeholders, both internal and external to the Trust and therefore the ability to work under pressure and manage multiple and conflicting deadlines is essential.
The Digital Information & Solutions CSU are currently in partnership with an external organisation to migrate onto an Azure data platform solution.
This long-term project will provide valuable training and development opportunities for staff within the department to learn skills in Azure/Cloud based technologies.
Main duties of the job
The post-holder will be working in a team responsible for supporting the processing of Trust wide Commissioning Data and ensuring Trust income is recovered in line with Commissioning Guidelines and to strict deadlines. They will be working to strict weekly, monthly, and yearly deadlines checking and processing multiple incoming data flows to a high degree of accuracy. Working closely with multiple teams throughout the trust to answer incoming queries. Utilising SQL data to report on ad hoc enquiries. Submitting reports to internal and external clients using SQL & Excel based reports. Extracting data from internal and external data platforms and databases

The Commissioning Team are responsible for the regular processing and reporting of income related data for the Trust, processing over 100 datasets per month. The Team build and maintain a large range of complex SQL based processes and transformations and support the Trust in new / updated reporting requirements.

Hybrid working is available (home and office working) with the base being St James Hospital Leeds.
Initial Tenure is 12 months fixed term, tenure may be made permanent after 12-month review.
