Job summary
DIT have an opportunity for a 12 month secondment or fixed term contract for 2 project nurses/AHPs/midwives to work on the Transforming Nursing Documentation programme. The post holders will be involved a significant program of work including the surfacing of evidence based nursing care plans within PPM+, this represents the largest change in nursing documentation since the introduction of our electronic health record. This is an opportunity for a suitably qualified and motivated registered health professional equipped with excellent organisational and communication skills, experience of managing others, able to evidence involvement with quality improvement work, have a working knowledge of nursing care plans, can use their own initiative, work to stringent deadlines, and have experience of working in a structured project environment to join our team. Main duties of the job
The role is interesting and varied. The successful candidates will be engaging with subject matter experts across the organisation to ensure that the new care plans are fit for purpose. They will also be working with the nursing workforce to prepare them for the change, be instrumental in the implementation phase of the new care planning solution and provide the nursing workforce with the support and expertise they need to maximise the benefits of this development. The majority of the role will follow standard office hours, some shift working will likely be required to maintain clinical credibility.

Led by our nurses, and supported by DIT, the new solution has the potential to significantly change the way our nurses work, enabling quicker and easier decisions about patient care, simplifying daily work and saving time. It will allow us to collect information about the impact nursing care has on our patients to improve reporting, with a live feed of acuity, metrics and ward assurance data.

which may require implementation across all Clinical Service Units within Leeds
Teaching Hospital Trust (LTHT). The post holder will plan, implement and manage
a portfolio of projects under the supervision of the Senior Project nurses and
the Implementation Manager. The post holder will lead on the clinical aspects
relating to the development, implementation and ongoing use of the clinical
informatics systems supporting the strategic aims of the informatics department.
The post holder will lead
a team of non-clinical implementers working on Informatics projects.
The post
holder will be expected to liaise with clinical colleagues throughout the
Trust.
To be the
clinical lead on informatics projects and provide clinical knowledge and
guidance to informatics colleagues. Provide feedback to the Informatics teams
on progress of projects and report any informatics issues relating to clinical
practice.
To participate in direct patient care
as determined by the project portfolio which will include undertaking clinical
audits, assessments and evaluation of care. To maintain clinical credibility by
working as a registered Nurse/AHP/ Midwife within relevant clinical area(s).
These are transformational projects
not software implementations; messages may be complex and contentious.
