Job summary

We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic and highly motivated Band 5 nurse to join the Occupational Health Nurse Advisor team. Nurse Advisors are part of a multi-disciplinary team who provide quality Occupational Health Services to a large NHS workforce, and to private clients.

The Occupational Health Service is based across two sites, St James Hospital and Leeds General Infirmary.

Main duties of the job

Nurse Advisors provide Occupational Health advice and support to staff and their managers on all aspects of staff health and wellbeing. This includes health assessment, pre-employment advice and support, immunisations and screening, health surveillance, advice on skincare in the workplace, management of sharps injuries. The successful candidate will need to be comfortable working with IT systems as all records are electronic.

We require a good team player who is able to work well within a multi-disciplinary team but who is equally self-motivated and able to work autonomously.

Experience in Occupational Health is desirable but not essential, as training will be given. If you are a registered nurse with an interest in workplace health, looking to start or develop your career in Occupational Health Nursing, we would like to hear from you.
