We
are looking for a NEC & Contracts Support Officer to work closely with
the NEC Project Manager. The role will
ensure effective and robust contract administration processes for a number of
NEC Consultant and Contractor Contracts (new build/refurbishment). The role will also be involved in the
administration of other contract forms and in the management of projects
throughout all stages.
The
role should be considered an on-site role with the opportunity to take
advantage from the Trusts flexible working policies. The role shall be required to work from any
of the Trusts premises, although is expected to be predominantly based at
the LGI site or nearby premises. The
role shall involve travel as and where necessary.
Main duties of the job
Working
with the NEC Project Manager and Project Managers, the role will be integral
to the effective management of the appointed Consultants and Contractors. You will also be required to engage closely
with the BtLW Programme Management Office (PMO) as well as others specialist
resources and suppliers.
The
BtLW NEC & Contracts Coordinator will have a primary focus on the
development, planning, management and implementation of processes and
procedures to effectively administer all aspects NEC contracts (as well as
other contract forms) across a series of projects within the programme. The
post holder will have a proactive role in all aspects of the administering
the NEC suite of contract including: Early Warnings, Compensation Events,
Instructions, Notifications, Payment, Programme the assessments of supplier
submissions.
This
will be a dynamic role where you will be involved in several projects at any
one time, providing the opportunity to manage large scale change and bring
our vision for the new hospital to life.

Project Manager, will be responsible for the planning, co-ordinating, and reporting
of NEC contract matters across all PSC, PSSC, ECC and ECSC contracts between
the Trust and its suppliers.
Reporting
to the Trust Boards will be monthly and the post holder will work with the
PMO team to ensure these are accurate and timely deliverables.
The
post holder will conscientiously maintain structured records of all contract
communications and shall take a proactive approach to implementing contract
management strategies to uphold the partnering principles of the NEC
contract.
The
programme offers and demands flexibility to manage the demands of multiple
projects and the post holder will be required to prioritise and manage the
workload of the role to maintain delivery in accordance with the programme
plan.
The
post holder will have excellent communication skills, both written, verbal
and non-verbal. The role involves
communicating amongst members of the multi-professional team, senior teams
including Directors and Executives within the Trust and our suppliers.
