Job summary
Facilities Transport Services are looking to recruit full time Heavy Goods Vehicle Class C Driver to help deliver a friendly, prompt, and professional service on behalf of Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust. Principal duties may involve the transportation of waste, staff, goods, and other various tasks around Trust sites and nationally
In this role, youll play a vital part in keeping our hospitals running, ensuring our patients can receive the care they need, and helping our staff move around our sites
Applicants must have good communication skills, a good geographical knowledge of Leeds and Nationwide and must be able to work effectively in a service focused environment
There is also a significant manual handling element and collection of bulk items attached to this post,plus other associated tasks where training will be provided
Please be aware the post will require the applicant to work 37.5hrs a week, days, rotational shift patterns, which can include weekends and bank holidays in a dynamic and fast-moving environment so a flexible working attitude is essential to the role

Main duties of the job
This post requires the candidate to have experience in a busy Customer Service role
The successful candidate will be responsible for undertaking a diverse range of tasks including:

The post holder will be expected to have basic knowledge of a number of administrative and operational functions and utilise both facilities and LTHT IT systems in order to complete their job role. The nature of the role requires the use of responding to some tasks via a defined communication system.
Adhering to standards and practices in Trust Policy and facilities practices/procedural manuals alongside national initiatives, to ensure that a safe and clean environment is provided for patients.
To be a point of contact for patients and other visitors to the Trust and provide a warm friendly welcome offering directions, support, and assistance.
