An opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic, self-motivated Maintenance Assistants (Engineering) with a background preferably gained in a building services environment, to be part of a dynamic team, who work in a busy, complex organisation.

.

The successful candidate will assist the estates team in providing a comprehensive engineering maintenance service to help keep our patients, staff and visitors safe. This will include all aspects of planned and routine maintenance, installation and repair/replacement work on a wide range of building structures.

The successful candidates will ideally have previous experience in, and understanding of electrical system in a building services environment.

Although primarily based at Leeds General infirmary you may be required to work from other Trust sites for periods of time as the service dictates.

Hours of work are Monday to Friday 37.5 hours plus overtime.

08:00 16:00.

Main duties of the job

To assist with the provision of an efficient and cost-effective maintenance and repair service to all properties owned by the Trust.

To undertake such tasks outside of core skills (within the competence of the post holder) to meet service needs as required.

To assist other trades and contractors, in accordance with service need.

To ensure that work is undertaken at all times in accordance with health and Safety requirements to ensure the environment remains safe for patients, staff, contractors and visitors to the Trust.

To show commitment to and participate in quality improvement activities.

To promote at all times a positive image of people with mental health conditions and/or learning disabilities.

To promote at all times a positive image of the Estates Department and the wider Trust.
