Main duties of the job

The candidate will have the skills and abilities to:

to contribute in updating records of achievements (ie: profiles, observations, care plans), to support the individual needs of the children/families.

assist the management team ( ie: Deputy and Early Years Professional) to develop, implement and evaluate play and planning using the EYFS for the individual child and family

to support the nursery team and management team in the delivery of the service and the development of quality care

as a key carer the jobholder will assist in the settling in programme to meet the childs/familys individual needs including first contact with the parent /carer

to assist the nursery team when discussing nursery routines and procedures with new parents

As part of the nursery team your role will include observing, collating, presenting and recording developmental milestones for childrens individual profiles

ensure each family receives daily positive feedback

report concerns or family issues to appropriate manager

About us

LTHT Nurseries provide 168 places per day across 3 sites, Clarendon Nursery, Mosaic Nursery and Rosewood Nursery.

All 3 nurseries are rated 'Good' by Ofsted, and pride ourselves on the excellent commitment our staff have to delivering the best quality childcare for all children.

To support the nursery team in delivering the Early Years Foundation Stage across the setting to raise and maintain the excellence of the Early Years Provision through quality interaction with the children.

To assist and develop an environment that meets the Ofsted Welfare Requirements and the individual needs of the child and family.

The postholder will work collaboratively with both the management team and as part of a team of up to 25 practitioners; assisting with meeting the individual needs of the children whilst sustaining good partnerships with up to 80 families/carers within the setting
