We are seeking an exceptional individual to work as a Quality Assurance Officer for Estates & Facilities. You will be auditing cleaning standards in patient areas, food safety and service standards in retail catering units as well as other areas as diverse as window cleaning, entrance mats and other contracts.

This is no ordinary job every day will be different, and you will work across all sites and at different times of the day. There will be a requirement to work 1 Saturday per month as part of the 30 hour per week contract.

Interviews for this role will take place 7th June 2023.

Main duties of the job

Auditing and monitoring of quality assurance indicators for Facilities in house services plus a range of outsourced service contracts overseen by the Estates & Facilities Division.

In House Services -

To audit against agreed national or local standards relating to in house services provided by the Facilities Directorate across the Trust. This will include Porters, Ward Housekeeping and Domestics, Catering Services and Clinical Waste Services. Audits on catering will look at food safety standards are being adhered to in staff restaurants and coffee bars and retail shops within the Trust. The post holder will also assist as required in auditing cleaning standards across the Trust with emphasis on wards ,theatres and clinical departments.

Out Sourced Services

- Audit standards of performance of outsourced contracts as specified in the contract specification. The contracts include, but are not limited to Linen Services, Pest Control, Staff and Visitor Catering, Window Cleaning, Sanitary bins.

To liaise with Contract Managers regarding service shortfalls in standards checked in audits and put in place relevant action plans for the Contractor to implement.

  • BTEC level 3 or equivalent in catering or related services or
  • significant experience of Quality Assurance in service related area .
