into patient management strategies.
Leeds

including 200,000 urgent and emergency cases.
This
post offers the opportunity for a highly motivated and enthusiastic
individual to play a major part in the delivery of informatics research at
Leeds Teaching Hospitals and its partners, working across a wide range of
stakeholders, both internally and externally.
The
successful applicant will need to have a customer-focused approach, a high
standard of inter-personal skills, be a self-starter and have an
entrepreneurial mindset. The postholder will need to be a good team player
and an excellent communicator at all levels. They will need to be
self-motivated and be able to take the initiative.
Main duties of the job
This
postholder will work in the Research and Innovation Department and will work
with researchers to ascertain their data requirements and encapsulate them
into a data specification for extraction and de-identification by our data
managers. The post holder will also be responsible for helping the
researchers through the application and approval processes.
This
is an excellent opportunity for entry into the data management profession.
There will be on-the-job training and scope for developing technical skills
to progress further in the Research Data and Informatics Team (R-DIT).

post holder will be working as part of the Research Data and Informatics Team
(R-DIT) within the R&I Clinical Support Unit (CSU). The team encourages

Job responsibilities
The
Business Analyst will principally support the Data Manager in servicing
requests for real-world data from researchers. The post holder will assist
with initial discussions with researchers and support them through the
application process. They will work
with the applicant and Data Manager to create a specification that can be
used to extract and de-identify the data for the project.
The
Business Analyst will also be required to support other administrative
activities of the Research Data and Informatics Team (R-DIT).
Will work under the supervision of
the Data Manager in providing an end-to-end service for providing data to
researchers.
Will work with the Data Manager to
prepare information ready for review by the Data Access Committee.
Will engage with researchers as
customers and endeavour to provide the best possible customer service
throughout the lifetime of a project.
The post holder will respond to
queries regarding the use of Trust data for purposes other than direct
patient care using telephone, the shared team mailbox or in person.
Will ensure that that any advice
given complies with Trust policies and statutory requirements for the use of
Trust data.
Will work closely with Information
Governance to ensure that all work proposed complies with data protection
laws and regulations.
Will assist applicants with the
application process for obtaining data and ensure that they have sufficient
and accurate information contained in them to give the Data Access
Committee/R&I Manager the best opportunity to make a positive decision.
Will work with customers to produce
an accurate specification of their data extract requirements
Will engage with other Informatics
teams to obtain information about datasets that they hold and may be required
for a project
