Senior Sister/Charge Nurse Cardiac Therapies and CNS teams.
30 hours per week
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 7 to lead our cardiac therapy services and CNS teams. The services provide sub- specialised care for patients with various heart conditions
We are looking for a highly motivated, dynamic individual with the ability to enable and empower their team. Strong leadership and performance management is an integral aspect of this band 7 role with patient experience and patient safety underpinning all aspects of leading the teams efficiently and effectively. You will be responsible for the nursing establishment, managing attendance, appraisals, mandatory training and competency assessments as well as the operational running of the teams and all they encompass. As the lead for the area you will need to provide assurance that high standards of care are met and sustained for every patient, every time.

Main duties of the job
The Jobholder will carry 24 hour continuing responsibility for the effective and efficient management of the ward/department. They will provide professional, clinical, managerial leadership and supervision for the nursing team. The jobholder is responsible for developing and maintaining a ward or departments philosophy that has the patient at the centre of compassionate safe and quality care delivery. Through managing the administrative and financial aspects of the ward, the jobholder will ensure cost effective use of resources.
