We have a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic, dynamic and experienced Advanced Clinical Pharmacist to join our Innovative Cardirenalmetabolic medicines optimisation team at the Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust. This new and exciting post supports various educational and research activities relating to Lipid Optimisation projects. Our unit have recently secured additional funding to support lipid optimisation across West Yorkshire ICB. This project is delivered with the support of experienced lipid experts at Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust. You will have the opportunity to develop your lipid optimisation expertise, educational and research skills among well established, award winning, multidisciplinary clinicians and researchers.
Main duties of the job
The role involves supporting the delivery of lipid optimisation agenda at LTHT and across WYICB. You will be involved in reviewing lipid optimisation queries, liaising with clinicians in various PCNs, organising MDT meetings, identifying lipids learning needs, developing and organising educational materials, writing up findings and reporting recommendations. You will work closely with a well established team of lipid experts. There will be opportunities to collect data and publish findings to evaluate and disseminate good practice. This position will ensure that participating PCNs receive clinically accurate advice which aligns with NHS best practices, and meet the learning needs of healthcare professionals across the region.
In this role you will be expected to engage with healthcare professionals across WYICB to promote the lipid optimisation service provided by LTHT, gather feedback on educational needs. You will collaborate with other stake holders to develop non-promotional educational content.
The post holder will have the opportunity to support other Cardiorenalmetabolic projects within the unit.
