Job summary
As
Director of Operations supporting Leeds Childrens Hospital services and the
Childrens, Womens and Outpatients Clinical Service Units, you will work
within the Chief Operating Officers Team in one of the largest acute Trusts
in the country. Leeds Teaching Hospitals is rated as a Good organisation by
the CQC, with high levels of staff engagement, and excellent clinical
outcomes.
The
successful applicant will be one of five Directors of Operations within the
Trust. The post holder will play a key role in the delivery of high quality
clinical services, the Trusts commitments and objectives, with a particular
focus on achievement against the agreed CSU Delivery Contracts. In addition
you provide leadership in the development of transformational plans for Building
the Leeds Way. This is a major
development for Leeds and our region and is an incredibly exciting and career
defining opportunity for the post holder.
This
role requires individuals who are driven, ambitious and passionate about
patient care, and who have a desire to influence at the highest levels
working in close partnership with senior clinical and managerial staff.
Main duties of the job
We
are seeking a visible leader with a recent track record of strong operational
service delivery in a complex healthcare environment. You will have an open
and transparent leadership style with extensive experience of effecting
performance improvement and service change.
The
successful candidate will be able to inspire and motivate teams to deliver
sustainable improvements. You will have excellent interpersonal skills, a
real understanding of using data for improvement, and the ability to
translate complex systems and processes into easily understandable messages
for patients and staff. You will be resilient and collaborative and able to
work with national, regional and local partners to ensure person centred
service provision.
