Job summary
We are looking for a passionate
individual who is required to fill a replacement post within the Urology
Department at the St Jamess University Hospital, Leeds.
The successful candidate will be
joining one of the biggest Urology Departments in the country which provides a
wide range of urological services including secondary, tertiary, and regional care. The department has an excellent national reputation
in Specialty Urological training and teaching.
Interviews will take place on Wednesday 28 May 2025.
Main duties of the job
The post holder is expected to be
competent in all aspects of core Urology but also planning and able to develop
a specialist interest to compliment the department. The post-holder will be
expected to help the department continue to achieve a consultant delivered
service and to help meet the different government targets. A strong commitment
to undergraduate and postgraduate teaching and a research interest is
desirable.
The successful applicant should possess
FRCS (or equivalent) and should be included on the Specialist Register or
within 6 months of CCT at the time of interview, if currently within a training
programme within the UK. In
accordance with the consultant appointment regulations, all other categories of
doctors must be on the Specialist Register.
