Required
to fill this full time, replacement post within the Radiology Department at the
St Jamess University Hospital & Seacroft Hospital.
The
successful applicant should possess FRCR (or equivalent) and should be included
on the Specialist Register or within 6 months of CCT at the time of interview,
if currently within a training programme within the UK. In accordance with the consultant appointment
regulations, all other categories of doctors must be on the Specialist
Register.
Applicants should have
established skills in Breast Imaging,
acute CT, and its related
specialties. A strong commitment to
undergraduate and postgraduate teaching and a research interest is desirable.
Consideration will be given to applicants
who wish to work full or part time and those wishing to job share.

Main duties of the job
This is a Consultant Radiology post with specialist interest in breast
imaging. The candidate will work cross-site at both Seacroft hospital and St
James Hospital, working in breast screening and symptomatic breast service.
They will be involved in the breast MDT. You will also support the radiology on
call service and provide an acute CT session. The breast unit is active in
research and involved in research looking at artificial intelligence as a
diagnostic tool.

mammograms, digital breast tomosynthesis and contrast mammography examinations
and breast MRI. Require skill set to perform US, Stereo or MRI guided core
biopsies, vacuum biopsies and vacuum excisions. Also support localisations of
lesions for surgery.
The

scheduled acute CT cover per week. This cover may be required to be delivered
within premium time hours (evening / weekend). The post holder will contribute
to the Diagnostic body CT on call rota. On call duties will be performed at
