An
opportunity has arisen for permanent full-time post within Paediatric
Haematology and Oncology as a YBMPT Data Manager.
The
post holder will have responsibility for data and quality management relating
to those patients having transplants within the Leeds Childrens Hospital. They
will be a part of the Paediatric Transplant Team, which is itself part of the
wider Yorkshire Blood and Bone Marrow Transplant Programme YBBMTP.
The
YBBMTP includes paediatric and adult patients at LTHT, adult patients at Hull
and East Yorkshire NHS Trust and adult patients at the Mid Yorkshire NHS Trust
having allogeneic and autologous stem cell transplants.

Main duties of the job
The
paediatric and adult programme undertakes 130-150 transplants per annum
across LTHT and at two satellite centres within Mid Yorkshire Hospitals NHS
Trust and Hull and East Yorkshire Hospitals NHS Trust.
Currently,
there are around 15-20 children having allogeneic transplants and around 5
patient having autografts in the Leeds Childrens Hospital each year.
The
post holder is responsible for co-ordination of transplant specific data for
children transplanted at the Leeds Childrens Hospital and for ensuring this
data is dispatched within the allocated timescales to the specific registry.
The
post holder is responsible for ensuring that all areas provide relevant
information to support the data submission and is responsible for the systems
to enable data capture and submission to take place.
The
post holder is expected to meet all reporting and outcome deadlines
