We are recruiting a Locum Senior Clinical Psychologist for our Congenital Cardiology Psychology Team, to work 2 days a week, including Friday to meet service need. We offer a lifespan service which is embedded in the Cardiology MDT to support the emotional well-being of patients with Congenital Cardiac Disease.
This role will work into a variety of different service pathways, delivered across numerous settings. We are dynamic and innovative & offer opportunities for professional and service development, as well as research. Main duties of the job
The main duties of the role include the provision of a qualified clinical psychology service across Congenital Cardiology. This includes highly specialist psychological assessment & therapy alongside offering advice and consultation on patients psychological and neuropsychological care to non-psychologist colleagues and to other non-professional carers,
Using research skills for audit, policy and service development and leading on research projects within the area served by the team/service.
To contribute to supervision and support for other members of staff and to teaching and training with both psychologists in clinical training and other none psychological members of staff.
Working autonomously in the execution of these duties and within professional guidelines and the overall framework of the Psychology Teams, Department and Trust policies and procedures.
