Then this exciting opportunity at Leeds Teaching Hospitals could be just what you are looking for.
We are looking for individuals with a desire to deliver high quality education and clinical support for colleagues entering our Trust by an exciting new pathway.
You need to be highly motivated and confident at providing education in classroom settings and have a keen eye for assessing clinical skills.
You will be part of a team supporting our unregistered workforce in this new education boot camp and providing pastoral support in clinical settings.
This opportunity will allow you to develop assessment skills, refine your teaching skills and consolidate your clinical knowledge. You will be required to prioritise your own workload, work autonomously and within your scope of practice whilst liaising with the wider Work Based Learning team.
This post is a secondment for 12 months.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will support the corporate education team and Clinical Service Units by facilitating education, training and development opportunities for unregistered healthcare practitioners and learners. These opportunities will contribute to the provision of a workforce that is kind, collaborative, expert and aspirational. The post holder will help to champion and co-ordinate the development of the Clinical Support Workers (CSWs) who are new to the trust and to the care environment. This will include supporting the nursing education team in the delivery of the Care Certificate Programme and to support learning opportunities linked to the requirement of the CSW role. The post holder will be able to prioritise duties with the support of the Senior Project nurse, and be accountable for their own actions and demonstrate initiative and ability to work autonomously with minimal direct supervision, but must work within their level of competence.
