We
are looking for a Band 7 senior nurse to lead C01. This is a rare opportunity
within this speciality due to organisational developments within the service.
This will be a challenging but rewarding role where you will have the
opportunity to work with a highly skilled and supportive MDT, and lead a
nursing team who are committed to working with patients and their relatives
to achieve excellent goal orientated individual outcomes.

Main duties of the job
Ward
C01 is a nationally commissioned service, comprised of mixed sex 25 bed
National Centre for Neurological and complex Rehabilitation. We work closely
as a Multi-Disciplinary Team with patients following Acquired Brain Injury,
and a variety of Neurological conditions. We are an extremely friendly team,
and work with patients and their families to achieve individualised rehab
goals and this is therefore a very rewarding role. We receive excellent
Friends and Family Test feedback, and are committed to the on-going
development of our nationally recognised unit.
The
ward consistently performs well with ward metrics and receives excellent
friends and family test feedback. C01 has a well established and experienced
nursing team, who support each other and individual colleagues development.
Experience
of neurology or neurosurgery, or rehabilitation would be preferrable but not
essential. Minimum of 2 years experience at B6, or previous B7 experience is
essential.
There
would be handover period from the incumbent band 7 to transition into this
role, alongside support from the senior nursing team and wider MDT.

efficient management of the ward/department. They will provide professional,
clinical, managerial leadership and supervision for the nursing team. The
jobholder is responsible for developing and maintaining a ward or
departments philosophy that has the patient at the centre of compassionate
safe and quality care delivery. Through managing the administrative and
financial aspects of the ward, the jobholder will ensure cost effective use
of resources.
