Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Admin Officer to join our Dermatology team at Chapel Allerton Hospital.
The service is based in the Department Dermatology, Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust. The Dermatology service provides regional services including Laser and Phototherapy services. Additionally, the service provides skin cancer care, including surgical services. This post will be predominantly supporting our GP with Extended Role in Dermatology, working across both LTHT and Primary Care. With additional duties carried out for the Dermatology department at Chapel Allerton Hospital.

The post will manage administrative and clerical staff to support in the delivery of the clinical service within Dermatology. The post holder will be expected to work closely with the management team, to support and implement service developments, manage access targets and review departmental systems to manage the patient pathway more effectively.

Main duties of the job
This post is a fixed term 12-month post to support the Dermatology department. The post-holder will work closely with the Dermatology team to provide an administrative service to the Consultant team and GP with Extended Role, including typing of clinic letters and discharge summaries, taking and transcribing minutes of meetings, arranging diaries, compiling spreadsheets and other administrative duties as required.
This post will provide a consistent and high-quality administrative service to the Dermatology department, supporting the team at Chapel Allerton Hospital, as well as to our GP with Extended Role who will be working across LTHT and the GP Confederation. The Admin Officer will have oversight of the referral to treatment time pathway for their consultants patients ensuring they are managed efficiently and effectively through their agreed clinical pathways and where it is not possible that the correct escalation procedures are followed.
