We
are pleased to advertise this exciting opportunity for maternity leave
secondment band 6 clinical nurse specialist to work within the Urology/
Oncology Prostate CNS team. The post holder will provide advanced, highly
specialist nursing care and advice to patients and their families diagnosed
with prostate cancer.
We
are looking for a motivated, enthusiastic nurse with excellent communication
and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work autonomously and as part
of a team. You will require relevant experience at band 5 level.
The
post holder will actively be involved in the development, implementation and
audit of patient care.

post holder will be responsible to the nurse specialist team leader. You will
have an office base within Lincoln wing, St James, but will be required to
work in other departments within St. James.

Main duties of the job
The
Jobholder is responsible for the management of a defined caseload. The
jobholder carries continuing responsibility for the assessment of care needs,
the development, implementation and evaluation of programmes of care and the
setting of standards of care. The jobholder will provide specialist care and
advice to patients with Prostate Cancer.
