Job summary
As a core member of the People Advisory team they will work under the leadership of the People & OD (POD) Lead in partnership with the operational management teams and leaders, providing operational advice and specialist knowledge on all HR related matters in line with the needs and priorities of the Business Units and Corporate Directorates to which they are partnering.
Main duties of the job
Deliver a person-centred, evidence-based and values-led People & OD Advisory service.
Support the POD Lead to work in partnership with operational management teams within their designated Business Units and Corporate Directorates to deliver the People and OD agenda.
Act as an internal HR consultant for the Business Units and/or Corporate Directorates as well as a critical friend, working collaboratively with the wider People and OD Directorate to ensure operational issues are addressed positively and proactively, ensuring an effective two way flow of information in order to build intelligence.
Work collaboratively with colleagues across the People and OD team and embrace a one team ethos, continually supporting team development and challenging the status quo to ensure a consistent, value adding People and OD provision to leaders and colleagues to support and enable Business Units and Corporate Directorates as key customers.
Be informed by data to enable them to pro-actively partner operational colleague in their business area in providing effective operational people support.
Manage Advisors to ensure the safe and compliant delivery of employee relations advice to managers across a broad range of people practices.

- Professional CIPD Human Resources qualification.
