Job summary
We are looking for a friendly individual with initiative and a positive approach to work as part of a team for the Lancashire & South Cumbria Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm Screening Programme, based within Preston Business Centre, Preston, and Lancashire. You will ensure provision of an effective and efficient administration office. There will be a need to assist with data entry and actively monitor appointments using the relevant I.T software systems.
The post holder will have the ability to communicate positively at all levels as well as being able to manage own workload by prioritising tasks accordingly to meet national screening targets. The successful candidate will be educated to GCSE standard or equivalent and have working knowledge of Microsoft Window package and possess good interpersonal and organisational skills, be a team player and work individually using initiative.
A flexible approach to work within the core hours of the service: Monday to Friday 8am to 8pm and occasional Saturdays is essential to meet service needs.
Main duties of the job
To work as a team member within the admin office and provide a comprehensive administration role for the AAA Screening Programme.
To assist with data entry for the National Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm Screening Programme
To actively monitor appointments for AAA screening using the relevant screening software systems
To handle any queries or telephone enquiries in an accurate and professional manner
To deal with patient's notes and ensure they are kept safely, properly updated and the confidentiality of the information contained within is maintained
Manage own workload by prioritising tasks accordingly in order to meet screening targets and deadlines.
Carry out general administration duties e.g. filing, photocopying etc
