Job summary
Applications are invited from motivated and experienced nurses who have excellent communication and interpersonal skills and are able to work autonomously across a variety of different areas both within the hospital and the Community settings. The post holder will have a broad nursing experience and have completed or be willing to undertake master level study. They will need to be able to demonstrate a problem solving approach and be required to deal effectively with issues as well as promote and develop high quality evidence based, patient focused nursing practice.
The post holder will support the Lead nurse for practice education in directing the strategic professional and clinical development of nursing practice and innovation to improve the patient experience and clinical outcomes. Experience in managing staff is essential as is experience in change management and facilitating audits.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will assist with meeting the responsibilities shared by the Clinical Commissioning Group and NHS Trusts, Private and Independent sector to provide high quality practice placements to meet the requirements of students on NHS and HEFCE funded healthcare training programmes.
They will also support the Lead Nurse for Practice Education in directing the strategic professional and clinical development of nursing practice and innovation to improve the patient experience and clinical outcomes, working according to the NMC and relevant professional bodies and Trust guidelines to provide, promote and develop high quality evidence based, patient focused nursing practice.
