Job summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Jubilee Acute Stroke Rehabilitation Unit at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital Gateshead.

We are looking for committed individuals who demonstrate a caring and compassionate attitude, as well as excellent communication and organisation skills. The successful candidate will provide excellent standards of patient care, working well within the wider team to deliver this.

There is an expectation that if appointed, the post holder should be willing to work flexibly to meet the service needs of our patients, including weekends and evenings. Gateshead Health NHS Foundation Trust offers Family Friendly working and will consider flexible working. Job share applicants are also encouraged to apply.

Previous experience in healthcare is desired but not essential, as training will be provided.

Main duties of the job

- To undertake personal care duties for patients in hospital.- To support all members of the MDT to deliver high quality, safe patient care.- To ensure a safe working environment.- To assist the registered staff to care for patients
