Job summary
We are looking for a new marketing and communications officer for our charity.
This role's responsibility will be to increase the charity's visibility and provide assistance with the work that the charity does.
This role will be busy and varied and will involve managing working on several charity projects and campaigns concurrently. Key responsibilities will include managing the charity's social platforms, event organisation and updating the website and digital media.

Main duties of the job
- Work with the wider communications team to produce news items, press releases, content for internal outlets and designing print and digital assets.
- Follow and implement agreed marketing and communications plans.
- To undertake well-designed presentations for events and organise displays to promote the work of the Charity (both written and video format) to help increase engagement.
- Update the charity website and intranet areas.
- Producing and scheduling regular social media content for the charity's social media channels.
- Interpret data from website and social media analytics and create reports when required.
- To produce and deliver the monthly charity e-newsletter, along with ad hoc marketing communications to our database.
- Demonstrate an ability to develop a story base from across the Trust to show charity's positive impact.
- Source, develop and write the copy for the charity's annual report and impact report.
- Coordinate Charity's annual communication plan, taking into account the annual plan of appeals and fundraising activity.
- Distribute marketing materials such as posters across the Trust and community.
- To assist with the delivery of presentations to internal and external audiences both in person and virtually.
- To assist with photograph and video opportunities, such as at cheque presentations and events.

- To liaise with the Trusts volunteer service to advertise for and recruit volunteers when required to support events or occasional office tasks.
- To be the point of contact for our volunteers at events.
