Reporting to the Deputy Director of Finance this post will lead a highly enthusiastic and committed team in supporting the Organisation deliver its financial strategy by providing a first-class financial management, income, and costing service to the Trust.

Main duties of the job

  • Provide effective leadership to the Strategic Finance Team, encompassing Financial Management, Income and Costing/Transformation
  • Be responsible for production of income & expenditure information to support financial planning, setting of revenue budgets and internal and external financial monitoring and reporting
  • Be responsible for production of income baselines to support annual contract negotiations and internal and external monitoring and reporting
  • Be responsible for production of annual costing and other mandated benchmarking returns
  • Be responsible for the production financial information to support the development, monitoring and reporting of the Trusts cost efficiency and transformation programme
  • To provide a lead financial role in a multi-disciplinary team to address financial efficiencies, service improvements, transformational change, and resultant cash effectiveness. Coordinating and overseeing the financial support for future transformation and efficiency
  • Function as Organisation lead on the production of annual income & expenditure budgets and the Trusts financial revenue plan
  • Overall financial management lead, working in partnership with the Assistant Director of Finance - Financial Control, to ensure robust financial input into the business planning cycle.
  • Support the Deputy Director of Finance in the agreement of all NHS contracts and be Trust expert on the NHS payment system
