We want to hear from you if you are interested in supporting an exciting project, the opening of our brand-new Community Diagnostics Centre (CDC) at the Metro Centre, Gateshead, which is a joint collaboration with the Newcastle upon Tyne Hospitals Trust.

We are looking for experienced Project Managers to support workstream leads on a range of issues, offering your expert advice and support to ensure the timely delivery of the project.

You will be supported by our CDC Programme Manager and have opportunities to work with a range of clinical and non-clinical managers who will welcome your support and guidance.

To be successful in this position you will need to have recent project management experience, ideally in an NHS environment. If you have a qualification in project management methodologies that would be great, as project planning and governance assurance is key to this role. You will be able to demonstrate effective communication and engagement skills and be confident in report writing.

This role will be based at the QE Hospital, Gateshead but hybrid working will be available.

Main duties of the job

The Project Manager works within the CDC Project Team and will play an active role in supporting the management and delivery of designated workstreams of the CDC project in support of the Trust's business and service objectives.

The Project Manager will work with a range of stakeholders and support across functions as required.

DIMENSIONS

  • The Project Manager will be responsible for the overall management and successful delivery of the project to the required quality and standard
  • Engage with all relevant stakeholders to support successful implementation
  • Lead and support the project team members , producing project documentation (Business Cases, Project Plans, Highlight Reports) and project control documents (Risks and Issues Log)
  • Produce and analysis monitoring tools which will demonstrate the success of the system
  • Support business change processes for service improvement
  • Deliver effective communication of the project benefits, justification and progress to all stakeholders
  • Raise profile and support the delivery of the project Trust wide
