Job summary
We are recruiting for a Deputy People and OD Lead who will report to one of three People and OD Leads and working closely with the directorate operational teams.
The successful candidate will work across the operational people agendas, leading a customer focused, responsive service across the whole People and OD portfolio. You will have a key role in supporting us and our customers to deliver the ambitions of the People Plan, providing operational advice and specialist knowledge on all People and OD related matters.
Main duties of the job
You will be forward thinking, operationally minded and informed by data to enable you to pro-actively partner your operational colleagues, supporting your POD lead, working alongside operational management teams within your designated areas to deliver the whole people and OD agenda.
You will act as an internal operational consultant for your customers as well as a critical friend, spending the majority of your time on operational tasks, working through other people and OD teams to ensure operational issues run smoothly, ensuring an effective two way flow of information in order to build intelligence.
You will work collaboratively with colleagues across our team and will embrace a one team ethos, continually supporting development and challenging the status quo to ensure a consistent, value adding People and OD provision to our customers.
