Are you looking for a senior role in NHS Finance, working as part of a fast paced, compassionate, and innovative team? If so, a fantastic opportunity has arisen at Gateshead Health NHS Foundation Trust to lead the Costing & Transformation function within the Strategic Finance Team.
Reporting to the Strategic Business Partner for Costing and Transformation, this post will lead on patient level costing and delivering expert financial advice and business intelligence to support the transformation of patient services and pathway redesign.
The post holder is expected to have strong communication skills in order to work effectively with senior management across the organisation and within the finance function.
Main duties of the job
The post holder be required to:
- Provide effective leadership and management of the Costing & Transformation team, including expert financial advice, staff development and process improvement
- Lead on the technical aspects of costing and benchmarking for all trust services including Acute, Mental Health, Community and Education & Training
- Lead on the production and distribution of PLICS for the National Cost Collection and routine Service Line Reporting, ensuring that information provided is accurate and delivered within agreed timescales
- Provide internal and external cost information to underpin negotiations for local commissioning arrangements for existing services and service developments
- Provide financial support to the trust's transformation programmes, GIRFT, Model Hospital reviews and business case developments
