Full Time (37 1/2 HOURS)
Duration: 15 months
Salary: £22,383 Annex 21 - 75% of Band 2y

Main duties of the job
The role will be responsible for*:
- Providing an effective and efficient reception service across our 2 reception areas for Obstetrics and Gynaecology (Women's Health Clinic and Maternity receptions)
- Transportation of notes between departments
- Dealing with incoming and outgoing post
- Photocopying, filing, scanning

Our Apprenticeship programme offers an exciting opportunity for you to gain practical experience whilst supporting your development with a fully funded Level 2 Customer Service Practitioner Apprenticeship and an internal development programme to equip you with all the skills to be successful in your career.
This apprenticeship is supported by Derwentside College, and your core responsibility will be to provide a high-quality service to customers which will be delivered from the workplace, digitally, or through going out into the customer's own locality. These may be one-off or routine contacts and include dealing with orders, payments, offering advice, guidance and support, meet-and-greet, sales, fixing problems, after care, service recovery or gaining insight through measuring customer satisfaction. You may be the first point of contact and work in any sector or organisation type.

- Good standard of general education
- Someone who is motivated, proactive and has a positive attitude

Desirable
- Experience of MS Office packages (including word & excel)
- Experience of working within a reception/office environment
- Previous NHS/Healthcare experience
Skills/knowledge/behaviours
Essential
- A willingness to update knowledge & skills as part of continuous personal development
- Ability to autonomously as well as working as part of a team, building good working relationships
- Be able to provide information to staff and patients when required.

- Knowledge of admin systems and procedures
- Knowledge of medical terminology
