Job summary
The post holder will assist the Trust in the delivery of cost-effective, risk-controlled, robust, reliable, responsive and secure process automation solutions to assist the organisation in eliminating paper and improving efficiency.
Provide assurance that processes are compliant with NHS standards and are valid, complete and "fit for purpose" in order to facilitate effective process automation solutions.
Work with senior developers to participate in all areas of the robotic automation development lifecycle including design, programming, versioning control, testing, documentation, technical implementation and deployment.
Main duties of the job
On a day to day basis monitor and evaluate automations against standards for completeness, accuracy, validity and timelines. Providing comprehensive performance reports to the required audience to improve the quality of processes. Work closely with customers and senior staff to ensure all processes are adhered to and where necessary, additional training/awareness is provided.
Participating in development of automation solutions across a range of technology platforms and integrated 3rd party systems.
Working to the latest industry robotic technology and ethical standards, delivery techniques & processes to ensures that the organisation gains maximum benefits from automation solutions.
Identifying requirements for new automation processes.
Input into the robotic development programme of work by recommending future developments.
Writing robust and thorough test scripts.
Ensures that robotic solutions are developed in a cost-effective and professional manner, which meets the needs of Trust's operational needs whilst maintaining system security and data integrity.
Eliminate single points of failure and unacceptable risks within the infrastructure and robotic services environment.
Develop robotic automation solutions in accordance with existing Trust policies

To communicate with project stakeholders across all levels of the organisation. This will involve discussing workflow processes and aspects of solution design with members of Service Management.
The need to communicate technology issues in a non-technical way so the target audience fully understand any communication is essential.
To keep abreast of team plans and all aspects of the automation development lifecycle.
Planning additions, deletions and minor modifications to process automations and interface engines upon trust-wide infrastructure and implementing and managing the Change Control process to ensure ICT services are not adversely impacted because of change.
Working closely with the project team ensuring key components are delivered on-time and to the required standard.
Working with customers to write software specifications for sign-off by stakeholders
