Job summary
You will have a role in working collaboratively with service users and families and enhancing your skills within the acute care setting.
We have teams of dedicated mental health professionals compromised of Mental Health Nurses, Health Care Assistants, an Occupational Therapist and an Activity Co-ordinator as well as Psychiatrists.
The teams have an amazing culture of supporting new and existing staff, seeking to establish in them a solid foundation of knowledge of the treatment and management of acute mental health illness; as well as an understanding of what is required to fulfil this role safely.

About the role:
If you are successful in your application you will be working alongside our MDT, formulating treatment plans, as well as conducting daily risk and mental state assessments of patients with a variety of different mental health diagnoses.
You will be taking the lead on admissions and discharges of patients liaising with community mental heath services, families and carers, and other third parties.
We are looking for a nurse who will work holistically with service users to ensure excellent patient-centred care aiming towards a safe discharge into the community.
We would expect you to be passionate about mental health - Working in line with the Recovery Model, our Trust Values, as well as being able to work collaboratively with service users and their families.
