Job summary

Are you passionate about reducing health inequalities and buildng a culturally capable workforce? We are currently seeking a highly motivated and experienced professional to join our team in a pivotal role as our PCREF Project Lead. You will play a key role in implementing PCREF to address health disparities in collaboration with internal stakeholders and system partners. You will work closely with stakeholders from diverse backgrounds, including staff networks, community organisations, NHS partners, and external agencies to identify and address race disparities in healthcare access, delivery and outcomes. The ideal candidate will have srong commitments to tackling discrimination and advancing race equality in mental health, as well as excellent communication, project management and analytical skills. Main duties of the job

We are seeking a candidate who possesses excellent communication skills, is proactive in their approach, and can efficiently organize and support projects related to health inequalities and EDI. The ideal candidate should also be able to develop effective systems for record-keeping, information dissemination, and communication with internal and external stakeholders.

This position will be vital in ensuring the successful delivery of our Health Inequalities and EDI Strategy. This involves ensuring that the outcomes laid out in the strategy are achieved to their full potential. The successful candidate will be accustomed to working with various stakeholders and committed to improving equity across all workplaces and services. They will be required to support the development and implementation of the health inequalities strategies and action plans, design be-spoke templates and documents, coordinate diaries, coordinate communication and process payments and invoices.

  • Support and lead on the PCREF project, develop and deliver against project plans, identify key milestones, and use Improvement Methodology to track each Plan-Do-Study-Act cycle to measure improvements and demonstrate a positive change. This project will include complex multi-dimensional project strands that will have a wide-reaching impact across the organisation.
  • Leading and coordinating input from senior managers and clinical service leads to deliver and define business improvements, taking accountability for project success.
  • The post holder will support project delivery, managing changing demands, and processes and maintaining appropriate and comprehensive records of project progress.
  • Engage with and work within the project management systems, including maintaining a progress/risk log and recording relevant issues relating to projects.
  • Ensure the project is taking due consideration of relevant issues in the broader healthcare economy.
  • Support project teams to ensure projects are delivered to plan and on time, continuously analysing and assessing the overall delivery of project aims and providing adequate and timely resolution in failures to meet project targets.
  • Be responsible for supporting projects to ensure a project structure which meets project management principles and governance requirements, including financial management and the delivery of the project work.
  • Work with project team members to develop a project plan with clear milestones and timescales of achievements towards the objectives and goals of the individual projects.
