Are you a multi-skilled Dietitian looking for an exciting and diverse role?
We are seeking an inspirational team leader to support anexpanding team of dietitians who are passionate about their work. This unique role provides a perfect blend of leadership (0.5WTE) with clinical dietetic care (0.5WTE), ensuring you can lead effectively whilst keeping your clinical skills up to date.
Our dietetic team provide high quality care to adults, adolescents and older people through every stage of their recovery journey. This includes on acute admission wards, forensic wards, eating disorder services and specialised units for various needs such as deaf services and the OCD/BDD unit.
We work closely with our AHP colleagues, including Physiotherapists, Speech and Language Therapy and Clinical Exercise Therapists, who together make up the Physical Therapies Department based at Springfield University Hospital. We are a close-knit department with a friendly and welcoming atmosphere, working collaboratively to achieve our Service Users' recovery goals.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will need a broad range of dietetics skills due to the diverse and complex nature of the client group. You need to be an excellent role model and provide highly effective leadership and mentorship to the team.
Your responsibilities include providing professional leadership for the Dietetic service within the Trust and acting as the deputy for the Head of Therapies. You will also manage a diverse clinical caseload, delivering highly specialised dietetic services to a range of mental health inpatient units. This may encompass acute admissions, secure services, services for older people, and Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS).
You will need a positive, solution-focused approach, have experience in service development, proven track record of managing change and excellent communication skills.
You will need to be able to develop good working relationships with a wide range of clinicians and managers.
