Job summary

Rose ward is an 18 bedded (plus 2 'surge bed's for periods of high demand) in-patient was specialising in the acute psychiatric care of women of working age experiencing acute mental illness, complex emotional needs and other related disorders. The service provision is 24 hours seven days a week. The teams are Multidisciplinary, and you will have extensive support and role development.

This is an exciting opportunity for a Staff Nurse to join an established and supportive Team. We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic nurse to work within a stimulating and rewarding inpatient setting. The post will enhance your skills in clinical decision making, assessment of mental health and physical health needs, risk management, crisis management, as well as joint working with multiple agencies/services.

You will have the opportunity to make networks with community teams and other external agencies. You will gain experience of working with individuals facing a wide range of mental health issues who require short term intensive work and the support of specialist mental health services. The emphasis is on prioritising individuals within the care pathway; assessing individual needs; providing a range of individual and group interventions and working with the team to prioritise discharge.
