Job summary
Highly specialist clinical psychologist - Early Intervention for Psychosis - Band 8
- This is an exciting opportunity to work for a dynamic Early Intervention for Psychosis team in the borough of Sutton part of South West London and St Georges NHS Foundation Trust.
- You will work as part of the multidisciplinary team to provide psychological assessments and interventions to people experiencing a first episode of psychosis, including CBTp and Family Interventions
- You will join a wider group of early intervention psychologists and CBT therapists working in EIS teams across the trust.
- We have an ongoing program of development and improvement, including developing trauma informed care and improving services for minority groups.
Main duties of the job
- To provide a qualified clinical psychology service to clients of the Early Intervention Service, across all sectors of care.
- Provide highly specialist psychological assessment and therapy at the same time as offering advice and consultation on clients' psychological care to non-psychologist colleagues and to other, non professional carer
- Working autonomously within professional guidelines and the overall framework of the team's policies and procedures.
- To utilise research skills for audit, policy and service development and research within the area served by the team/service.
- The post holder will be expected to work in health, social care and other community settings (including outpatient clinics), clients' and their relatives' homes, inpatient and other hospital settings, and any other settings in which the client is most appropriately managed.
