Job summary
An exciting opportunity for doctors currently on London training programmes to spend a year out of programme working within Health Education England on a project looking at the impact of COVID on educational experiences for clinical trainees. The Fellow will be hosted by South West London & St George's NHS Trust.
COVID has had a huge impact on both clinical training and service delivery. Within a very short period of time activity that has historically been face to face moved to online platforms. One area of a particular concern has been psychotherapy training for core psychiatrists where the experience of being in a room with a patient has long been felt to be at the centre of the both training and therapy.
As we move back to face to face teaching we have an opportunity to review educational expectations of trainees, how we deliver educational support to trainees and to consider the pros and cons of face to face compared to online supervision.
