Job summary
The Welfare Benefits Team, based in Tooting at Springfield Hospital is part of South West London and St Georges Mental Health NHS Trust and provides benefits advice and assistance to service users.
We are a team of 4 and currently seek an experienced adviser to join us in delivering a high quality client focussed service. The role is for 37.5 hours per week.

Main duties of the job
We are looking for a positive, committed individual, with a passion for supporting people and ability to use their initiative. We are constantly looking to improve so encourage innovation within team. Experience of and understanding, the welfare benefits system is essential.
You will need good analytical skills, the ability to communicate a wide range of information and forge and maintain strong relationships including those with our clients to cultivate a caring, respectful and supportive relationship.
You will be expected to have a demonstrable understanding of the Welfare Reform Act and specifically how the changes to the Welfare Benefits System have impacted claimants.
