Job summary

We are seeking to recruit a Deputy Team Manager who will support the team manager to provide leadership and effective day-to-day management for our busy for Central Wandsworth West Battersea CMHT based at the well located Springfield University Hospital.

The successful candidate will need to demonstrate excellent leadership skills; an understanding of mental health needs, with a sound knowledge base, and the ability to work autonomously and under pressure. The candidate must be proficient with information technology, with particular strengths in critical problem solving, and advanced decision making. Excellent interpersonal skills are considered essential.

The work is challenging at times and we need someone who is committed, knowledgeable and creative at working through challenges in order for clients to receive excellent quality care. The team is committed to providing a service that promotes good service user experience.

Previous experience of management is preferred however, transferable clinical and managerial skills will be seriously considered. This is an excellent opportunity for personal development.

Main duties of the job

The Deputy Community Team Manager role is responsible for supporting the Team Manager in operational management of a range of aspects of service delivery within the team and for clinical/managerial supervision of professional staff according to the trust values.

To Support the Team Manager in ensuring safe caring, responsive, high quality service is provided to service users, their families and carers within the clinical environment by ensuring compliance with Statutory and Regulatory requirements and Trust Policies, pathways, standard operating procedures and protocols.

Supporting the Team Manager in allocating work accordingly within the team to ensure effective and efficient use of resources to ensure service users and carers needs are met, and monitor the team's contribution and performance to the overall objectives of the Trust.
