Job summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an expert clinical specialist physiotherapist to join the Regional Neuro Rehabilitation Unit (RNRU). The RNRU provides 27 level 1 neuro rehab beds to patients following brain injury. You will have the opportunity to lead and inspire our team of physiotherapists and work collaboratively with expert MDT colleagues in this dynamic and innovative team. You will provide expert clinical leadership for neurological physiotherapy services across the trust and contribute to the leadership and development of the RNRU service.

Main duties of the job

  • Provide expert clinical leadership to the neuro-physiotherapy services within Homerton Healthcare Foundation Trust.
  • Provide operational leadership to the RNRU physiotherapy team.
  • Oversee all physiotherapy provided to the complex neurologically impaired patients undergoing rehabilitation at the RNRU.
  • To contribute to the MDT leadership, management and development of the RNRU service.
  • Lead/contribute to departmental or trust wide neurological service developments.
  • The post holder will be working in a challenging socioeconomic environment involving patients who have highly complex social problems and those from culturally diverse backgrounds

  • oBe highly skilled in effective communication with patients with speech, cognitive and behavioural problems. This will also include communication with patients where there is a language barrier
