Job summary
We are looking for a passionate, enthusiastic, and committed individual to join the Pre-Assessment Team as Team Leader.
The candidate should be motivated and a team player who is dedicated to providing high standards of care, safety and practice for patients.
The post holder will be responsible for the overall management of the pre-assessment team and the development of staff within that team. The post holder will be a professional role model, providing visible leadership. for the team. They will be an expert clinical practitioner.
The post holder will work closely with members of the Multidisciplinary Team to ensure that patients are pre-assessed appropriately before their surgery.

Main duties of the job
Overall management of the Pre-Assessment team, managing staff sickness, performance etc.
Ensure the smooth and effective running of the Pre-Assessment clinics, supporting the different clinics and the staff running them. Working with members of the MDT e.g., Anaesthetists to ensure patient are appropriately deemed as fit for surgery.
Maintaining the departments budget, monitoring for over spend.
To be willing to undertake professional development and training needed to progress the service.
Provide high standards of holistic, patient centred care.
