The Apprentice Main Store Operative, reporting to the Supply Chain Manager, will be responsiblefor the correct receipt of goods into Homerton Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust. The post holder will ensure all clinical and non-clinical goods are in place ready for clinical need.
The Procurement and Supply Chain Department at Homerton Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust has undergone a substantial redesign of its function, providing a modern, patient centric, customer focused service.

Main duties of the job
To receipt all deliveries to the Homerton Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust, ensuring goods are unloaded safely, checking for quality and quantity, and signing driver documents;
Receipt deliveries in line with local procedures for the Departmental Goods Receipting Computer Systems and co-ordinate all associated delivery Advice Notes;
To check and deliver items received which are required as an emergency, immediately on receipt ensuring prompt delivery to the appropriate ward/department.
To receipt all deliveries from the suppliers, ensuring roll cages and pallets are unloaded safely, and returning any empty cages and pallets, and completion of drivers documents;
