Job summary
The Children's Integrated Speech and Language Therapy Service for Hackney and the City is a unique partnership between health and education. The resultant service works across Homerton Healthcare and Hackney Education and has grown into a large and dynamic team that delivers innovative models of working. It is a welcoming, fun and supportive place to work.
With well-established clinical supervision and access to CPD it is a great place to make the move and become a Specialist Speech and Language Therapist. We are hoping to recruit a SALT who has experience and/or completed CPD related to working with children/young people with eating, drinking and swallowing needs.
The service employs over 90 staff and so opportunities arise frequently, and staff are deployed flexibly to meet changing need. As well as working in the clinical areas outlined above, we offer opportunities for band 6 staff to be involved in project work. This can be linked to an area of interest or clinical expertise or a wider service development project. Where appropriate the post holder can access CPD and relevant training to support them to carry out their project.
