Job summary

This post is being advertised as a replacement post for a consultant with an interest in GI or GU and general radiology imaging. A second subspecialist interest is desirable but is not essential.

You would be joining an established team of 13 consultants to contribute to the reporting of CT, MR, x-rays and acquisition and reporting of ultrasound. Part or full-time applications will be considered.

Applicants must have, or be within 6 months of completing CCST or have an equivalent radiology qualification with GMC registration. This post is for 10 PA working over a 4 day week, although an 11 PA contract over 5 days can be negotiated. Currently all Consultants undertake 1 day working from home per week. Part time applications would be considered.

Main duties of the job

The successful candidate would need to be competent in GI/GU subspecialist MR and CT reporting. For the GI post, competence with fluoroscopic procedures is expected and bariatric experience would be desirable. US/CT guided drainages and biopsies would also be beneficial. The successful candidate would be expected to participate in the regional GI or Urology MDTs which are part of the North East London Cancer network.

The successful applicant would be expected to participate in the On call rota (currently 1 in 12). Overnight (7pm to 8am) CT reporting is outsourced.
