Job summary
A new exciting opportunity has arisen in Maternity at Homerton Healthcare to join the Public Health Team as the Maternity Public Health Administrator.
The appointed candidate will ensure the delivery of an efficient and effective administration service to the Public Health Programme within Maternity services.
Main duties of the job
- Provide administrative support to all staff within the Maternity Public Health team.
- Collate and present data relating to immunisations administered to pregnant women.
- Ensure timely submission of data to relevant agencies.
- Responsible for the collation of statistical information as required including quarterly audits and KPI reports.
- Provide administrative support for clinical audits undertaken by the Maternity Public Health Team ensuring that audit data is collected, recorded accurately and available for review on a regular basis.
- Maintain oversight of the BCG referrals, sending out regularly as required so that external services can plan their workload.
- Order and apply a systematic and organised approach to the workload and prioritise in order to achieve deadlines.
- Communicate effectively at all levels including internal and external agencies.
- Ensure that telephones are answered within the agreed time and messages are taken accurately and conveyed in a timely manner to the appropriate individual.
- To handle politely and effectively telephone and written enquires from clients, GPs and other hospitals.
