A new exciting opportunity has arisen in Maternity at Homerton Healthcare to join the Education Team as the Maternity Education Administrator.
The appointed candidate will provide secretarial/administrative support to the Education Team as well as ensuring proficient and professional running of all learning and teaching sessions via the PDM and CPFThe post holder will help maintain PDM and CPF databases and spreadsheets and continue to deliver an efficient service to meet the demands of this busy department.
They will assist with mobilisation of kit to the clinical areas to support learning through clinical simulation and undertake the student rota in conjunction with the CPF.
Main duties of the job
To be able to work in a flexible manner with the Maternity Education Team
To be able to work as part of a team but also independently and be responsive to change.
Provide materials required for learning activities, including programs, handouts, visual aids, registers and certificates for training courses as necessary.
Assist Maternity Education Team with administrative support.
To prioritize own workload in the absence of any team member and plan ahead regarding future recruitment/ training sessions to ensure deadlines are met.
Preparing the training room as appropriate including moving the chairs and tables where necessary.
Coordinate the organization of any education sessions including booking rooms and notifying students or midwives.
To open mail/e-mail communication and action as appropriate.
To be prompt, efficient and courteous in dealing with student telephone enquiries and to deal with them accordingly.
To be responsible for data input re: students, midwives and Maternity Support worker attendance on training sessions, safekeeping of registers, placement evaluation forms and teaching content information. Collation of all education evaluation forms for audit purposes.
To assist in creating and advertising promotional materials for training sessions including posters, emails and flyers.
To assist the Education team with Recruitment workload.
