Job summary

As a General Manager you will lead a group of services at a senior level assuming overall responsibility for delivering safe, compassionate and joined up care to our patients. Working closely with internal and external stakeholders you will be responsible for service delivery across a number of specialties.

This is a key position within the Emergency Medicine and Rehabilitation Services divisional leadership team and responsible for overseeing the day-to-day management and operational delivery of the Division's high quality, patient focused services whilst driving forward an exciting service improvement agenda. The role will involve strategic planning, inter-agency communication and negotiation, project management, implementing change and evaluation.

Main duties of the job

To meet the needs of this role you will be a senior leader with a proven record of leading teams to deliver high quality patient care. This role demands exceptional leadership qualities, the ability to build credible relationships at all system levels and the tenacity to ensure we deliver high quality patient care through efficient and effective operational services and strategic planning. As one of the Trusts senior operational managers you will demonstrate a flexible, responsive and innovative approach to service delivery ensuring that service demand is met safely and effectively at local and regional level through our ICB partnerships.
