Job summary
The post will be based in the department of Rheumatology at Homerton hospital on a job plan of 6 PA, with 3 clinics per week and 1.25 SPA.
As a senior employee of the Trust you will work in close co-operation with and support other clinical, medical, professional and managerial colleagues in providing high quality, safe health care to patients.
Main duties of the job
The successful candidate will be expected to provide specialist expertise in Rheumatology and job plan will include 3 outpatient clinics per week. The clinic structure will be in line with other consultants in the service comprising a total of 8 patients, with 2 new and 6 f/up. The post holder will also contribute to rota's for referral triage and provision of clinical advice to GP practices.
The post holder will be expected to participate in teaching and training of undergraduate and postgraduate doctors, which will include acting as a clinical supervisor to all levels of trainees, providing them with regular appraisal and support.
The post holder will be expected to contribute and participate in the department's ongoing QI and audit programme.
