Job summary

Community CAMHS is part of Community Services at Homerton University Hospital. The Hackney Ark is a specialist multi disciplinary service for children and young people with developmental delay and disabilities in Hackney and the City of London.

The First Steps service provides an early intervention community psychology service to children and young people with mild-to-moderate emotional, behavioural and relationship difficulties. Children of all ages are referred to the service from a diverse range of backgrounds. We work in an integrated way with other CAMHS providers to ensure children and families experience an open door to all CAMHS services at the point of referral and Community CAMS are responsible for overseeing the work of the CAMHS Single point of Access.

We are recruiting into 2 Assistant Psychologists' posts at Band 4 within Community CAMHS, as our current Assistant Psychologist is moving onto other roles.

Graduate Psychologists withexperienceworking in the NHS, with a desire to go on to Clinical Psychology training to apply. Flexible working arrangements can be negotiated.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will support the clinical work of the First Steps and SPA team by providing support to process new referrals in the Single point of access team, including liaising with referrers, families and other agencies; through outcomes collection and data management together with other CAMHS services as part of the City & Hackney CAMHS Alliance; They will also be involved in managing self-referrals that come into the service. There will also be an opportunity to co-run workshops and parenting groups within the service.

Working Hours: 37.5 hours per week
