Job summary

To provide a professional and comprehensive administration service to the diabetes insulin pump team working with outpatient adult insulin pump service its users including patients; relatives and colleagues and patients transitioning from Paediatrics to adult and patients under the care of our Antenatal Team. To support the day to day administration needs of the team with printing, filing, answering calls and email enquiries, booking meetings and managing the diaries of the team. To efficiently and accurately record data and turn this data into monthly and quarterly reports. Review and provide updates to patient queries and concerns raised via PALs.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will assist with coordinating the diabetes technology procurement, working with the diabetes insulin pump team for adult patients under the diabetes outpatient service, liaising with patients, carers and staff of all levels, including medical staff. To assist with the co-ordination of device upgrades including insulin pumps and continuous glucose monitors working closely with the insulin pump team and pharmacy. Liaising with pump companies, reps and couriers to ensure we are working together to provide a streamlined service. To ensure enquiries are effectively dealt with and successfully resolved within a prompt timescale, ensuring all relevant personnel are informed as necessary and appropriate records are maintained. Co-ordinate the timely delivery of regular and ad hoc data / information requested by the insulin pump team / pharmacy, producing reports as required.
